Tamraght village is believed to be one of the first places where surfing was introduced in Morocco, with the first surfers arriving in the 1960s. Within 30 minutes driving there are more than 20 surf spots for every level.

Tamraght is located exactly in the middle of all surfspots, so this is the most central village to stay in.

Tamraght is a popular destination for surfers from all over the world due to its consistent waves and laid-back atmosphere.

Some of the most popular surf spots include Devil's Rock, Crocodile Beach, and Banana Point.

Depending on the tide and daily conditions, we take our guests to different surf spots where beginners can learn on safe beach breaks while intermediate and advanced surfers can enjoy point breaks.

Tamraght is a special town with a very laid back vibe and is incredibly safe for tourists.

The town is in walking distance to the more hectic surf and yoga hotbed, Taghazout. Aourir and Agadir are more local, which can be overwhelming for tourists. Tamraght is the perfect mix, which makes it a special place for surf and yoga enthusiasts.

Tamraght Village

Tamraght on the Taghazout Bay is situated in south Morocco, where the locals have welcomed surf tourism with open arms. Most people here speak French, English, or both.

Tamraght village has everything you need: a currency exchange, pharmacy, barber, food, shops selling anything and everything, transportation, and Moroccan friendliness.

Everything is inexpensive by European standards. There are no bars in Tamraght, but some restaurants and stores in Agadir and Taghazout sell alcohol.

Tamraght has many restaurants catering to European travelers, some at local prices and some with European prices.

Everything within Tamraght including the beaches are walkable in a matter of minutes.

Getting around the surf coast is easy. There is a six kilometre promenade from Devils Rock north to Taghazout along the beach that can be walked, biked or skated.

The local bus system is efficient, with a bus running from Agadir to Taghazout several times an hour for 5.5 MAD (roughly €0.55). There are affordable taxis along the coast and Agadir Airport is accessible by taxi or bus.

Please book your flight to arrive at Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGA). We can arrange the airport transfer and have a driver wait with your name on a sign outside the airport. The transfer takes about 45min by taxi.
